Role: Tank/DPS; Weapon: Claymore,Hammer,Spear
The Warrior is a physical damage dealing class; however they also have the capability to tank through utilizing malice control, wearing VIT(vitality)-heavy armor, absorbing party damage, and strategically using their special skill, Guard. They also can wield a significant number of weaponry such as Claymores, Hammers, and Spears. Unlike the Assassin, Mage, and Cleric, Warriors cannot wield ranged weaponry; therefore, they are limited to an "up-close" play-style.

Special Skill: Guard[edit | edit source]

Activating Guard enables warriors to receive reduced damage from front and side; furthermore, guard prevents blowback/knockdown from the front and side. However, if the player is attacked from the back, guard will be disabled at once.

Weapon Playstyle[edit | edit source]

Claymore Warrior[edit | edit source]

Claymores are large two-handed swords with double-edged blades. Unlike other weapon types such as staves, guns, or hammers, Claymores can only be wielded by warriors. Warriors who've accepted claymores as their weapon of choice usually spend skill points into claymore-only skills such as Power Smash, Mighty, Smash, and Whirl Smash H. These skills excel in dealing large burst damage on foes; meaning, while attacking in a straight line, they deal high amounts of damage in a single hit! Furthermore, the Whirl Smash H skill can cause Inflammation of foes if they have [Defense Break]. An average claymore user can reach the damage cap quite easily; therefore, Claymore-warriors have the flexibility to spend stat points in to AGI or VIT to amp up their defense and LP while still maintaining their high-damage output. It may be counter-productive to invest highly in the STR stat if using a claymore, as most of the ATK damage is wasted due to the damage cap. Claymore warriors, along with spear warriors, are also known to accept the INT-heavy Suition-Laser playstyle.

Hammer Warrior[edit | edit source]

Hammers are a weapon type that can be used by both Warriors and Clerics. Due to the vast popularity of spears and claymores among players, the cost of hammers are relatively low; surely an advantage for anyone interested in experimenting with the hammer playstyle. Warriors who've accepted hammers as their weapon of choice usually spend skill points into hammer-only skills such as Hard Break, Thor Hammer, and Hammer Quake H. Similar to claymore-only skills, these also excel in dealing large burst damage on foes. Furthermore, hammer-skills usually have debuffs that immobilize foes when paired up with [Defense Break]. That is why hammer-warriors are usually those fully invested in a tanking build. When facing a difficult boss with a party, hammer-warrior-tanks can easily make the battle much easier and quicker by casting debuffs such as [Fall] and [STUN] with appropriately timed usage of the skills. Unfortunately, hammer users are usually limited to party-gameplay only. Hammer warriors usually lack the strength to defeat bosses quick; also, the animation for a normal attack with hammer is so slow that even killing/luring normal mobs might seem tedious.

Spear Warrior[edit | edit source]

Spears are the most popular weapon type among the warriors of Izanagi Online. Spears offer a number of advantages to their wielders: Fast normal-attack and skill animations allowing warriors to dodge more efficiently, Relatively high base M-ATK value allowing for better results when using the Suiton-Laser build, Large array of wide-range AoE skills, and so on. Due to the popularity of spears, however, they are quite expensive. Although spear wielding tanks are very prominent in the world of Izanagi, spear warrior abilities are usually applied for a support/damage-dealing role in parties and solo-play.
